How to change protocol on the FireSideVPN Android app

Before changing between protocols in the FireSideVPN app, it’s important to disconnect first. You can check and adjust the VPN protocol by disabling the “Automatic Protocol Selection” option.

The VPN protocol you choose can impact the performance and stability of your connection, so it’s crucial to select the right one when connecting to a VPN server. FireSideVPN suggests using the automatic protocol, as it will pick the most suitable connection setting for you. However, if the automatic protocol doesn’t work for you, feel free to switch between different protocols manually.

Protocol Guide:

– Wireguard: (Recommended)

Wireguard offers a swift and secure VPN connection, commonly utilized for web browsing and streaming.

– UDP:

UDP is primarily employed for streaming and downloading, offering a fast VPN connection with moderate encryption.

– TCP:

TCP is more reliable but slightly slower, typically used for web browsing.

– IKEv2:

IKEv2 is one of the fastest VPN protocols, providing a stable connection and is usually used for streaming and downloading.
