You can customize settings in the FireSideVPN app to suit your preferences. If needed, you can effortlessly revert to the default settings with just one click.

This feature offers the convenience of on-the-go security for situations when you use public Wi-Fi or any network that seems suspicious. Follow the step-by-step instructions below for a secure experience: With this feature, you now have security on the go whenever you want to use public Wi-Fi spots or any network you don’t trust. Here’s how you can proceed.

  • Click Hamburger icon (≡) from the top right of FireSideVPN app
  • Select ⚙️ Preferences .
  • In the general settings tab, you can see the Auto-connect after launch option.
  • Once it’s turned on. You will be able to see a drop-down menu from where you can choose the desired option to let the application know which location to connect after launching the app. Following options are available to choose from;

Fastest Location:

The application will automatically connect you to the best location server through the Smart algorithm by choosing this option.

Recently Connected Location:

The application will automatically connect you to the last connected location by choosing this option.

Specific Location:

  • The application will connect you to your preferred location by choosing this option.
  • This won’t be applicable if your system is in sleep mode.

To ensure you don’t miss any VPN connection status notifications from FireSideVPN, stay updated by enabling notifications. To learn how to turn on “Show VPN connection notifications,” follow the instructions below:

  • Click Hamburger icon (≡) from the top right of FireSideVPN app
  • Select ⚙️ Preferences option.
  • In the general settings tab, scroll down to be able to see Show vpn connection notifications option.
  • Mark check ☑️ Show VPN connection notifications (if it’s not checked by default)

Looking to free up space on your dock while keeping FireSideVPN active? Here’s how you can proceed.

  • Click Hamburger icon (≡) from the top right of FireSideVPN app
  • Select ⚙️ Preferences option.
  • In the general settings tab, scroll down to be able to see the Hide icon from the dock option.
  • Mark check ☑️ Hide icon from the dock (if it’s not checked by default)

Protect your privacy and secure private data with FireSideVPN’s built-in Internet kill switch feature. This feature ensures the safety of your internet connection in case the VPN connection drops unexpectedly, keeping your data and location secure even during such situations.

Enhance your privacy without compromising security. The Internet kill switch operates automatically and requires no configuration. It deactivates VPNs in the event of an unexpected drop or disconnect, shielding your data and location from exposure until you’re reconnected.

  • Click Hamburger icon (≡) from the top right of FireSideVPN app
  • Select ⚙️ Preferences option.
  • From the General settings, go to the Advanced settings tab by clicking it.
  • Toggle Internet Kill Switch to turn it on.
  • That’s it! You are now even more protected. Your internet will automatically get disconnected upon disconnection.

  • You will see the Clear all Preferences option in the general settings tab.
  • Click on the button and click Clear all Preferences to confirm.
